CO.T.IR. is a research Centre belonging to Abruzzo Region and its main activity is “applied research and experimentation in environmental, territorial, agronomic and agroindustrial area”.

Our Center is certified UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 (CSQ – n. 9175.COT2) and its goals are defined in the Politicy for Quality and Environment Document.

 It is registered at the Research Register (n.51894DZH).

This Centre owns a total surface of about 50 hectares, of which 26 are in Vasto (plain farm), and 24.5 hectares are in Scerni (hilly farm).

Our Centre carries out agronomic resesarches and studies, with complex aims headed towards the improvement of the main agronomic practices management and use in the Mediterranean basin vulnerable agricultural areas; it also intends to give the necessary technical and scientific support to the Bodies who manage the activities linked to territorial resources. At last, it plays a cohesive role among regional research Institutes to optimize and plan the decisional activities involved in sustainable productive development.
