AGRARIAN FARM

COTIR owns two experimental farms, a plain one of about 26 irrigated hectares in Vasto and a hill one of about 24.5 irrigated hectares in Scerni. The plain farm has a (warm and cold) modular  greenhouse occupying about 3700 square meters equipped with an automatic-manual air-conditioning control system.
 

In our farms we carry out irrigation tests, manuring tests (including compost), soil conservation tests and experimental tests on biomass use.

Together with other Corporations and Institutes we accomplish variety collecting fields to store "germoplasm" and plants  propagations (grapevine,  olive tree and fruit tree) in order to produce nursery-material.
